The church of Panagia Paraportiani is the most photographed church in the island of Mykonos. Located in Chora, this white and asymmetrical church dates from the fifteenth century. The monastery of Panagia Tourliani is 8 kilometers far from the town of Chora in the village of Ano Mera.
Mykonos beaches: Super Paradise beach
Located 7 miles southeast of Chora, Super Paradise Beach is located right next to Paradise Beach and can be accessed via caique (there are regular service boat from Platis Gialos) and local bus. Super Paradise is less organized than its neighbor Paradise and has beautiful clear waters and soft golden sand.
The Pelican Petros in Mykonos
The pelican Petros (Peter) is part of the island of Mykonos and has become the mascot of the island. If you walk around the port or the narrow streets of Mykonos, you will not be very difficult to find him.
